Well another week has come and gone. Holy shit. Where is the time going? Time just moves at light speed when you become a parent. For those with kid’s it’s almost back to school time already. Although we don’t have english television here in Poland, I can almost hear the Staples commercial with the ecstatic parent’s singing “it’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!!” Well if you’re in a hurry this weekend don’t forget to eat well and take care of yourselves. Earlier in the week I wrote about how frozen fruits and veggies are actually healthier then you may think. Keep that in mind when you’re looking to whip up something quick for you and your family this weekend. Anyways here’s this weeks round-up:
Bryan Falchuk over at The Moose Is Loose talked about 4 ways to stay fit and healthy after having kids. I couldn’t agree more. Everything changed when I became a dad. My kids will be my reason for staying in shape, not my excuse. My favourite dad quote: “Every father should remember that one day his son will follow his example instead of his advice.”
Eric Stevens over at Breaking Muscle discussed how to choose the right fitness program for your personality.
The boys over at Barbell Shrugged talked about Olympic lifting and building strength.
Mark Sisson over at Mark’s Daily Apple gave some insight on how to create a string of success.
Are you working out but still gaining weight? Dai Manuel over at The Moose Is Loose wrote a fantastic article about the 3 pillars of a great physique. I like to think of them as a tripod. Take one away and you fall right over.
You loved running but just can’t find the time anymore since having kids. No excuses!!!! Nicole Crawford over at Breaking Muscle gives you a jogging stroller primer.
An older article but I just stumbled upon it. 5 traits of true leadership posted over at The Art of Manliness. Fantastic read. Ever since becoming a father I have thought a lot about leadership and how I want my kids to follow my example instead of my advice.
A bit late in the season but since there might be one or two camping trips left for people, I thought this would be a great article. Jeremy Anderberg over at The Art of Manliness tells us how to recognize poison ivy, oak, & Sumac and treat their rashes.
Chris Read overt at Canadian Dad wondered if he is making the most of his time as a father.
Steve Kamb over at Nerd Fitness told us how to instantly build confidence, back by science.
Well that should keep you busy for most of the weekend. I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend wherever you are in the world.
Keep the blue side up.
