First and foremost I wanted to start off with an apology. I broke the cardinal rule of blogging. I broke consistency! It’s been a while since my last post. I’ll start by firing off the excuses. Our family had a lot going on. We sold our condo and our house, bought a new one, moved to Europe (temporarily…more on that later) all within a little over a month. Yikes! Plus I was pretty busy flying at work, wrapping up the tail end of the busy vacation season. I should also mention our son Benjamin was getting busier and busier. Our families think we’re nuts. My wife Carly and I have always been the spontaneous and adventurous type, but they still think we’re bat shit crazy.
Always travelling, on the go, or planning something. Amazingly neither of us have A-D-D. Most people get stressed enough about buying and selling a home. We sold 2 and bought 1 and we did it in a little over a month with the added pressure of knowing we had to be moved out and packed for Europe. We also had to look for a place to live overseas in our non english speaking future home. Okay so we might of nibbled off a little more then we were able to chew but we got through it all and are happily (temporarily) living in Europe. Now the most important thing about all of this is we both didn’t fall off the wagon in our fitness goals and we didn’t kill each other either. The thought probably crossed my wife’s mind from time to time though.
Carly still continued her crossfit workouts while I still continued to hit the gym 4-5 days a week. We didn’t gain weight and we didn’t find excuses to eat McDonald’s and other crap either. Something inevitablly did have to give and unfortunately it was contributing to this blog. I probably could have continued to put together the odd post here and there but it would of been something I was just throwing online without a lot of thought. That’s not why I started this blog. I started this blog because I wanted to contribute an honest and everyday voice and provide something of value back to my readers.
Well there you have it. I hope those were good enough excuses and I’m forgiven.
P.S. Our big baby Harvey was never neglected. Heck I think he was walked and worked out more then all of us! He is with us in Europe btw in case anyone is wondering.
Keep the blue side up.
