First I have the utmost respect for mother’s. You have the world’s toughest job. I’m confident most young men could not endure being pregnant or child labour. I was amazed to watch my wife go from a routine pregnancy to a not so routine delivery. It was exhausting just watching my wife go through labour. She was one hell of a trooper!

Happy Friday everyone. I hope everyone had a great week and you’re looking forward to the weekend. We got some good news. We’re heading back to Canada a wee bit earlier then expected. So far the latest plan has us back in Canada in a little over a week from now. We can’t wait. We made a lot of good friends in Poland. We loved living abroad and probably will again in the future. Home is home though.
Well this post is long overdue. As I had previously mentioned here we’ve been quite busy preparing and now settling into our temporary life in Poland. Are we Polish? Nope. I hail from an Italian background and my wife is from a British background. Too be honest with you, before we knew we were coming here, we could barely point to Poland on the map, let alone Warsaw where we’re going to be living. We knew nothing about the country. Last year was a big milestone in my aviation career. I successfully completed training to qualify me as a Captain at my airline. Just before my 30th birthday I finally accomplished a goal I had set for myself since first taking to the skies at 15. The whole Captain training process got me thinking a lot about leadership. It’s no secret that a great leader is someone that leads by example. People naturally have a little more respect for people that practice what they preach. Whether it be the owner of the business/CEO helping out on the ground floor, or the personal trainer that actually looks like a personal trainer. I’ve always had great respect for people in powerful or influential positions that can set the tone by taking the reins and leading by example.
