Jason is head coach, founder and owner of one of Poland’s best CrossFit boxes, CrossFit Ad Alta. Jason is a wealth of information in weight training, CrossFit, sports training and sports medicine. Before moving to Poland to open up CrossFit Ad Alta, Jason worked for the Seattle Fire Department for many years. Happy Friday everyone. I hope everyone had a great week and you’re looking forward to the weekend. We got some good news. We’re heading back to Canada a wee bit earlier then expected. So far the latest plan has us back in Canada in a little over a week from now. We can’t wait. We made a lot of good friends in Poland. We loved living abroad and probably will again in the future. Home is home though.
While walking up to one of our favourite restaurants in Warsaw my wife was looking down at her phone and enthusiastically said: “Man she just destroyed today’s WOD” (I’ll explain what a WOD is in a soon to be posted Crossfit primer)
“How did you know that girls time, you didn’t even go to Crossfit today?” I said.
“They usually post everyone’s workout times online at the end of the day” she said.
Okay I’ll admit it. There’s nothing I hate more then those four little words coming out of my mouth: “Honey, you were right!” To my wife…or any spouse for that matter, its music to their ears. But, I’m a big boy and can admit when I’m wrong. You grow when you admit you’re wrong and it builds character..so they say. I come from a more traditional fitness background. Well this post is long overdue. As I had previously mentioned here we’ve been quite busy preparing and now settling into our temporary life in Poland. Are we Polish? Nope. I hail from an Italian background and my wife is from a British background. Too be honest with you, before we knew we were coming here, we could barely point to Poland on the map, let alone Warsaw where we’re going to be living. We knew nothing about the country.
